Colts' Defense vs Jets' Offense
Until the Colt
defense proves that it can stop a team when it counts, any team will
have a chance to mount a credible come back. With just under three
minutes left in the game last week, all the defense had to do was
prevent Miami from scoring a touchdown. The Colts defense made Dolphin
QB Damon Huard look like Dan Marino on the final scoring drive. There
are bright spots. The Colts held the Dolphins under 70 yards of total
offense in the first half and came up with two sacks. But, as usual,
the team failed to respond at critical moments in the waning seconds
of the game.
The
Jets offense has sputtered recently, but against the Colts stats don't
mean much. The Colts have to find a way to fight through this
adversity and still come up with the big plays. Until this happens,
ANY offense will have the edge on us.
