Football is a game of simple grace and power, grit and glory unleashed in small explosions. It's poetry in motion. Fast forward, that is. The 'Shoe doesn't need pages of stat-crunching analysis to find the essence of the game. 17 weeks. 17 syllables. That's all we need.  Beat that, ESPN.

Edge cuts in for score.

Eight men in the box,
Defense still can't stop the run.
Find a gap, fill it!

Hungry Edge needs fed
Prime numbers for factor back.
Ride him to playoffs.

Balance in all things.
If Pats think run, then Colts pass.
Pats think pass, Colts run.

Dwight Clark in the slot.
Linebacker or safety cover?
Matchup is the key.
