Six points, six years...

Welcome to year six of the Horseshoe, the home for Colts haiku

Football is a game of simple grace and power, grit and glory unleashed in small explosions. It's poetry in motion. Fast forward, that is. The 'Shoe doesn't need pages of stat-crunching analysis to find the essence of the game. 17 weeks. 17 syllables. That's all we need.  Beat that, ESPN.

Issue # 86: Bye Week

Five weeks, four big wins.
Hang up the cleats, sit a spell.
Colts prep for long haul.

First Doss, then Strickland
Gimpy ponies limp to break.
Help is on the way!

Raiders stomped by 'Shoe.
Silver and black, black and blue
One eye patch, now two.

Two hall of famers
One sets records other breaks
Rice and Harrison.

Jerry and Marvin
Each can be bribed with cakes:
Pan or Tasty... sweet!

Offense is clicking
Defense needs improvement
Special team's a push.

Unheralded line
gives Edge daylight to run to
and gives Peyton time.

Blitz is gamble
Get to quarterback before
he finds open man.
