Football is a game of simple grace and power, grit and glory unleashed in small explosions. It's poetry in motion. Fast forward, that is. The 'Shoe doesn't need pages of stat-crunching analysis to find the essence of the game. 17 weeks. 17 syllables. That's all we need.  Beat that, ESPN.

Sorgi sits one out.
Peyton plays in fourth quarter.
Nine point victory.

Texans make Colts work
but outcome never in doubt.
AFC South Champs.

Though ranked thirty-first,
Colt defense is improving.
Fewer points allowed.

Note to Kyle Boller,
Avoid the Christmas pass rush.
Throw the ball away.

Playoff berth secured,
Colts look to improve seeding.
Need help from Steelers.

Triple threat horseshoes.
No, not the triplets, Dwight Freeney
One-man wrecking crew.

Automatica
Feisty former Buc, Martin
kicks Touchbattica!

Not high-stepping Ray,
nor Neon-Deion will stop
Colts scoring machine.
