The true advantage here for the Colts is the big play ability of return man Terrence Wilkins, an undrafted rookie, who has scored touchdowns in four different ways for the Colts this year. Add his ability to give the Colts a short field to kicker Mike Vanderjagt's franchise record setting 20 field goals in a row and you have the ingredients for many scoring opportunities throughout the game. The Redskins special team play, on the other hand, has been sub-par all season. All other things being equal, the game could well be decided by this facet of each team.
